I should have known when he started riding a two-wheeler a month before turning 4.
What three-year-old does that?
Last week he wore completely through the tire on his bike.
This is a huge loss, given we go for several bike rides a day.
Turns out bike tire stores aren't open right now. So we traded up.
A friend had passed on a bigger bike and we stored it for when he's ready.
It's a Tony Hawk dirt bike with hand breaks- pretty cool- but I wasn't sure he was ready for it at four and a half.
But he was determined. A couple days around the block and he was riding like a pro.
Mama's "favorite" trick is when he rides as close as possible to something he's passing; a pedestrian, a dog, a parked car... then at the last minute he veers out of the way. People see this little kid coming on his bike and get out of the way, not knowing he's got a plan all along.
So far, he's made it work, but all I can think of is the scene from Wayne's World:
"Hi Wayne! Hi...." (Smashes into the car)
Note: Riding on the wrong side. Waiting for people to veer away from.
Palm Sunday palms- grab and go!
Pretending to cook eggs
Charly missing her buddy next door. They write each other chalk notes on the trampoline.
First ever- entire family bike ride!
Oh this girl. Happy hour jam in the sunshine on the steps. Charly was determined to learn a song on the ukelele
"AFTER"! Organization compliments of Charly!
Sweet resting in the sun
Caught a friend. "Froggy-froggy-toadie."
In case you were wondering- I've got the 'Parent of the Year' award in the bag. Auggie is playing with the leaf blower while I drink wine on the steps. Winning indeed.
